Summer Running Camp

After an off-year in 2020, the San Antonio Summer Running Camp by Paragon Training is back in 2021! This Summer Running Camp prepares high school athletes for a successful fall cross-country season. The main focus of our 8-week camp will be aerobic conditioning, drills, coordination, strength, and HAVING FUN! Participants will also learn about nutrition, common running injuries, injury prevention, mental preparation, training logs, goal setting, and much more. Runners will train in groups with others of their own ability, and each group will be led by an experienced assistant coach in addition to Head Coach, Mark Saroni. Come join us, have fun and get FAST!

 

Format

This year's camp will feature two options for participating:

  1. An in-person camp that meets 2x a week and includes a digital training plan

  2. A virtual ONLY camp that provides a training plan for participants to follow

In-Person Camp

  • June 8 - July 29 from 7:40-9:00 AM Tuesday & Thursday

  • Walker Ranch Park

  • 12603 West Ave, San Antonio, TX 78216

  • Camp running singlet

  • Digital training plan to follow on non-camp days

  • Participants must be at least 13 years of age and able to run a 5k in under 27 minutes. Special consideration will be given to younger athletes who can show a history of race performances equivalent to or better than the time specified above.

     

Virtual Camp

  • Camp running singlet

  • Digital training plan to follow on your own

  • ANYONE can participate in the digital camp
