Health and Safety Policy

Paragon Training is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of our community’s kids, adults, and families through sport. We believe that active lifestyles are key to improving mental and physical well-being. Athletes’ welfare continues to be our priority during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). Paragon Training will adjust as the situation evolves and comply with state and local government orders. We are implementing the following Health and Safety Policy to ensure that our athletes can continue to be active, socially engaged, and above all, healthy. This policy is in accordance with Governor Abbott’s Executive Order GA-26 issued June 25, 2020 and is effective immediately.

Social Distancing

All employees, athletes, and spectators at Paragon Training events are asked to maintain six feet of separation between household groups. We are restricting the number of athletes at each swimming and running  practice, and we have assigned specific lanes and starting positions to make it easier for athletes to maintain the six feet distance. At the Splash & Dash events, we are limiting participation to 50 youth per race. We are limiting the number of spectators to one parent or guardian per child allowed in the pool area. We have also redesigned the flow of athletes and spectators at our practices and events to limit the number of people crossing paths.

Face Coverings

All employees and visitors to Paragon Training’s events and activities are required to wear face coverings when indoors or in an area or performing an activity which will necessarily involve close contact with co-workers or the public where six feet of separation is not feasible. Face coverings may include homemade masks, scarfs, bandanas, or a handkerchief. Since most of our events and activities take place outdoors and where six feet of separation is feasible, and per Governor Abbott’s Executive Order issued June 25, 2020, we do not require face masks during exercise.

Health Screenings

Paragon Training requests that you conduct your own health screenings prior to attending any practice or event. If you feel ill, please stay at home. If you have been around anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or known to have contracted COVID-19, we request that you get tested for COVID-19 and self-quarantine for two weeks.

Outdoor Gatherings

Outdoor gatherings over 100 people are prohibited by Executive Order GA-26 until July 15. Paragon Training’s programs do fall under the list of exceptions: 5) Youth camps, 6) Recreational sports programs for youth and adults, and 8) Swimming pools. However, we are still limiting participation and spectation at our Splash & Dash races to 50 youth per race.

Thank you, athletes, for your compliance with Paragon Training’s Health and Safety Policy. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and Governor Abbott’s declarations. Remember to stay home if you are sick.
