USA Triathlon Recognizes Mark Saroni as the 2025 Draft-Legal Coach of The Year

SAN ANTONIO (July 14, 2026) — We are proud to share that USA Triathlon recently recognized our founder and head coach, Mark Saroni, as the 2025 Draft Legal Coach of the Year. This award recognizes his years of dedication to the sport and the work he's done training athletes to compete at the highest level of competition.

Youth Triathlon Coach Asher Lauderdale

Mark has been involved in triathlon since 2003 and has been coaching since 2005. As a former professional triathlete and USA Triathlon Level II Certified Coach, he has spent more than two decades helping athletes pursue goals. Throughout his coaching career, Mark has guided athletes to qualify for some of the sport's most prestigious events, including the World Triathlon U23 Elite World Championships, IRONMAN World Championship, IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, XTERRA World Championship, and the World Triathlon Age Group World Championships. He is also the visionary behind the Paragon Pro Project, an elite development program dedicated to providing aspiring professional triathletes with the coaching, resources, and training environment needed to compete at the highest level.

While these accomplishments are certainly impressive, those who know Mark understand that his greatest passion isn't collecting accolades—it's helping athletes grow. Whether coaching someone toward their first finish line or preparing an elite athlete for international competition, Mark brings the same passion, knowledge, and commitment to every athlete he works with.

Congratulations, Mark, on this well-deserved recognition from USA Triathlon. Your leadership, dedication, and commitment to the endurance community continue to inspire athletes both within Paragon Training and throughout the sport.

We're proud to have you leading our team.

“I've been a student of triathlon since I was twelve years old and always had a passion for draft legal racing. I consider it a privilege every time I get the opportunity to pass on my knowledge to athletes competing at the highest level in the most intense format the sport offers.” - Mark Saroni
