Meet our May Athlete Spotlight, Austin Sobczak. Austin joined the team in 2018, and he finished his first IRONMAN 70.3 last year in Waco! Glad to have you as part of the larger group effort, Austin!

How long have you been swimming, cycling, running, or doing triathlons?
About a year and a half
Why do you like endurance sports?
I like competing against myself while also being part of a larger group effort.
What is your favorite training or racing event, and why?
I really enjoyed Waco 70.3 last year. It was great having my wife and our four girls cheering me on, I felt like I really gave it my best effort, and I was able to beat my time goal.
What is your favorite post-workout or race meal?
BBQ pizza
What is one recent accomplishment you are proud of?
Figuring out how to use my Garmin watch
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Faster
What is something no one knows about you?
I was a four square champ in elementary school.
