How long have you been swimming, cycling, running, and/or doing triathlons?
I have been racing and competing in triathlon for 35 years.
What aspects of training and/or racing do you enjoy most?
I enjoy the challenge of training and racing and seeing how consistent preparation pays off on race day. I especially enjoy the process of setting goals, working through the tough days, and seeing progress over time. On race day, I love the strategy, the competition, and pushing myself to see what I’m capable of while staying focused and disciplined throughout the entire race.
What has been your favorite training or racing event and why?
My favorite racing event has been Ironman Arizona. I loved the entire experience—from the preparation leading up to race day to the atmosphere and energy of the event. It was a race that challenged me physically and mentally and reminded me why I love triathlon. The combination of the course, the competition, and the feeling of putting months of hard work together on race day made Ironman Arizona especially memorable for me.

What is your favorite post-workout or race meal?
My favorite post-race meal is pizza and a cold beer. After a long race like Ironman Arizona, there’s nothing better than finally sitting down. It’s a simple way to celebrate the accomplishment and enjoy the moment after months of hard training.
What is one recent accomplishment you are proud of?
One recent accomplishment I’m especially proud of is qualifying for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Earning the opportunity to race on the world championship stage was the result of a lot of hard work, consistency, and perseverance. Being able to line up in Kona and compete against some of the best athletes in the world was an experience I’ll always be proud of.
What do you want to be when you grow up? (We're all still kids at heart ❤️)
I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up! At this stage of life, I want to keep doing what I love—helping people reach their goals, staying active, and continuing to challenge myself. If I can make a positive impact on others while enjoying the journey, I think I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be
What is something no one knows about you?
One thing people may not know about me is that I’m a pretty competitive person—even when I’m just having fun. Whether it’s training, racing, or something as simple as a friendly challenge, I always want to give my best.
Why do you race/train?
I race and train because I love the challenge and the process of becoming better. Training gives me purpose and keeps me pushing myself physically and mentally. Racing gives me the opportunity to put all that hard work to the test. I also enjoy the community and friendships that come with triathlon and hope to inspire others to see what they’re capable of.
