Who is your coach? Mark Saroni
Occupation: Lawyer
How long have you been swimming, cycling, running, and/or doing triathlons?
I played volleyball when I was younger, so I didn’t get into endurance sports until I was a little older. I’ve run for exercise for many years and then started cycling and swimming about 5 years ago.
What aspects of training and/or racing do you enjoy most?
I like all of it (almost)! I love the variety of triathlon, and then strength training as well.
What has been your favorite training or racing event and why?
I have several favorite races (and many not favorite races). The New York Marathon is a favorite because of the crowds and the course. 70.3 Worlds in Marbella is also a highlight.

What is your favorite post-workout or race meal?
Nothing and then everything? I usually keep it pretty simple post race, but then basically all food.
What is one recent accomplishment you are proud of?
I have ventured into the world of Hyrox and I am proud to have competed in the last world championships in Sweden. I was out for several months earlier this year due to injury and wasn’t sure I would make it there. It was nice to have made it back.
What do you want to be when you grow up? (We're all still kids at heart ❤️)
Something that I can do outside!
What is something no one knows about you?
I didn’t know how to swim for my first triathlon. It was an Olympic distance, and I knew how to not drown and managed to beat the time cut off. After that race, I was addicted.
Why do you race/train?
Like many people, training is my happy place. I enjoy it and it helps me manage life and work stress and makes me a much nicer person to be around… Racing gives me a goal to work towards, and I love racing with friends and family.
